What is Secuderm®?
Secuderm® is a 100% waterproof, breathable protective system designed to keep dressings, wounds, ears, catheters, and medical devices dry during daily activities such as showering, bathing, and swimming.
Its unique gel + film technology creates a custom waterproof seal that adapts to difficult body areas while remaining comfortable and breathable.
What can Secuderm® be used for?
Secuderm® is ideal for protecting:- Surgical dressings and stitches- Chronic wounds and burns- Ear dressings and grommets (WatEarProof®)- Catheters and medical devices- Fingers, toes, joints, ankles, and difficult body areas- Tattoos and skin treatments
Is Secuderm® really waterproof?
Yes — when applied correctly according to the Instructions for Use, Secuderm® is designed to create a waterproof protective barrier. When used as directed, it can help protect dressings and sensitive areas during:- Showering and bathing- Swimming and water activities- Sweating and humid conditions- Movement in difficult body areas such as joints and skin folds
Performance depends on proper skin preparation, correct application, and respecting the recommended usage instructions.
The technology has been tested in demanding environments, including marine and high-humidity conditions.
Does the skin still breathe under the protection?
Yes. Secuderm® is highly breathable. The polyurethane film allows gases and moisture vapour to escape while preventing water from entering. This helps reduce moisture build-up and supports healthy healing conditions.
Does the film stick to the wound?
The protective film adheres only to the gel placed around the area — not directly to the wound or dressing itself.This helps improve comfort and reduces trauma during removal.to your block, write your own text and edit me.

Application & Use

Is Secuderm® difficult to apply?
No. Most users apply Secuderm® in less than 3 minutes.Application steps:1 - Apply the gel around the area to protect2 - Wait approximately 1 minute for the gel to set3 - Prepare and position the film4 - Press firmly to create the waterproof seal
How long can I leave Secuderm® in place?
Secuderm® can remain effective for up to 7 days, depending on the treatment protocol and activity level.If your dressing requires changing sooner, simply remove and replace the protection as needed.
Can Secuderm® be cut to size?
Yes. Secuderm® is fully customisable.
The film can be cut to any shape or size, allowing protection of both small and large areas, including irregular contours and medical devices.
Will there be enough gel for larger areas?
Yes. Only a thin layer of gel is required to create the waterproof seal, so the supplied quantity is sufficient when used correctly.

Removal

Is removal painful?
No. Removal is generally painless and gentle on the skin.
Will there be adhesive residue?
Normally no residue remains if the protection has been in place for at least 45 minutes.If residue does occur, it can be removed with:- Adhesive remover spray- Gauze with rubbing alcohol (90%)Avoid applying alcohol directly to wounds or mucous membranes.

Skin Safety & Tolerance

Is Secuderm® safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. The components have undergone skin tolerance testing.The gel is silicone-based, which is widely recognised for excellent skin compatibility.
What if I experience irritation or an allergic reaction?
Allergic reactions are very rare.If irritation, itching, or discomfort occurs:1 - Remove the protection immediately2 - Rinse the area thoroughly with saline solution3 - Contact your healthcare professional if needed

Performance & Reliability

Will the protection peel off during movement?
No. The film is highly flexible and stretchable, allowing it to move naturally with the body without easily lifting.
Why do dark marks sometimes appear outside the protected area?
This can happen from exposure to water, dirt, or moisture around the outside edges. It actually demonstrates that the protected area inside remains sealed and dry.
Has Secuderm® been tested in extreme conditions?
Yes. Secuderm® has been tested and validated in demanding conditions including:- Marine and diving environments- Tropical humidity- High perspiration conditions- Difficult joint and movement areas

Shipping

Can my order be delivered at a packstation?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to ship to a packstation. Please choose a different address.
Can I change the shipping address of my order?
Accidentally enter the wrong shipping address? Please contact our customer care team as soon as possible. We will try our best to get our hands on the package before it leaves our warehouse. Keep in mind that as soon as the order has been processed completely, we can’t make any changes anymore.

My package hasn't been delivered yet, where might it be?
It might be possible that the estimated delivery time has changed, or that you accidentally entered the wrong address. The estimated delivery time didn’t change and is your address correct? Please check your email again to see if you received a message from the shipping company. The package may have been delivered to a different address, or your delivery window may have been rescheduled.
Can I change my order?
Once an order is placed our team processes your order directly to ensure the quickest delivery. If you wish to change your order, please contact us immediately.

Returns

Do i have to pay for the return costs?
Possible return costs will be deducted from the refund.
Can I exchange an item?
No, unfortunately, this is not possible.
If you are sure you want to receive a new item, it is best to order a new item right away.
Have you received my returned order?
Once we have received your return, we will arrange a refund within 14 working days after receipt of your return. The return costs will be deducted from the total refund. If you haven’t received any information after 14 working days after receipt in our warehouse please contact our customer care team.

You will receive your refund within 14 working days after we have received your return. We will refund your money using the same payment method you originally paid the order with.

My payment has failed. What to do?
